Adesua Foundation donates Sanitary pad to Ananekrom DA Basic School.

 Menstrual Hygiene Day: Adesua Foundation, Erudite Women Empowerment Foundation donates sanitary pads to Ananekrom DA Basic School.


To commemorate this year’s Menstrual Hygiene Day, Adesua Foundation and Erudite Women Empowerment Foundation have donated several packs of sanitary pads to students in Ananekrom Basic Schools in the Asante Akyem North District.


In addition to the donation, the team led by Nana Adakabre Frimpong Manson who is Adesua hene of Agogo also educated the students on menstrual hygiene.


The occasion which was graced by Nana kwame Otchere Kontihene of Ananekrom and Nana Yaa Fosua Queen mother of Ananekrom had hundred students in attendance with most being female.



The headmaster of the school, Mr Mortey Isreal asked the pupils to practice proper hygiene like bathing, brushing twice daily. He also urged them to be punctual to school and avoid filthiness.



Speaking to the students, Nana Adesua hene encouraged them to be good pupils in other to become great leaders in future.

Also present was Mrs. Edna Brakoaa who is the girl child coordinator for Asante Akyem North Education Directorate who explained menstrual hygiene management with several demonstrations to help the students best understand.



In her demonstrations she revealed that sanitary pads should be able to absorb up to 100ml of liquid without reaching the underpants. She further educated them on proper disposal of used menstrual pads.


The students were also allowed to ask questions about what the facilitators had taught them.


The queen mother of Ananekrom expressed joy and gratitude towards Adesua and Erudite Foundation for the gesture and encouraged others to follow suit. She further called on the pupils to not shy away from school when they are menstruating.

Menstrual Hygiene Day is an annual awareness day on May 28 to highlight the importance of good menstrual hygiene management at a global level. It was initiated by the German-based NGO WASH United in 2014

AGOGO PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ORGANISE IT'S 13TH CONGRESSION CEREMONY

 Agogo Presbyterian women's college of education has organised its 13th congregation ceremony on Saturday 22nd May, 2021 at the college auditorium.  The ceremony saw the attendance of dignitaries including Prof. Adarkwa,  the Council chairman, Dr. Eric Nkansah, representative of the minister of education, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo ( Pro vice-chancellor, university of Ghana) who was the keynote speaker,  the college Principal Rev. Championing the growth of SMEs through Digitisation

The Omanhene of the Domeabra Traditional Area, Nana Baffour Owusu Bediako has asked government to work hard to improve Internet connectivity nationwide, especially in the rural areas in order to achieve it’s digitalization agenda.
