OKORE3 INITIATIVE DONATES ROBOTICS EQUIPMENT TO KONONGO ODUMASI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN ASANTE AKIM CENTRAL MUNICIPAL.
Okore3 Initiative, a non governmental organisation dedicated to promoting and training of students in robotics has donated robotics equipment worth Ghc7000 to Konongo Odumasi Senior High School (KOSS).
The presentation was organised at the school assembly ground and the items were received by the headmaster, Dr. Benjamin Kweku Baah on behalf of the school, a host of teaching staffs including Mr David Asare, the Assistant headmaster Administration, and a section of the students.
The team was led by Mr Prince Odame, who is a 2013 graduate of KOSS and a software Engineer, currently working with Blue Occean Robotics in Denmark, Mr. Henry Kwaku Boafo, a research fellow at the Centre for Settlement Studies and a Service lecturer at the Department of Land Economy - KNUST, and Mr. Emmanuel Adu, who is also an old student.
Mr Prince Odame who made the presentation, said the donation was to cater for the practical needs of the students who are into robotic studies.
" We are here to donate these items to you as our small way of supporting you in your studies and to encourage you to focus on your education " he told the students.
Dr. Benjamin Kweku Baah, the headmaster of KOSS paid glowing tribute to Okore3 Initiative for their donation.
He said , such interventions were critical to the promotion of quality education and urged other organisations, individuals and various old student year groups to complement the efforts being made by government to make education accessible to every Ghanaian child.
