ADESUA FOUNDATION GHANA AND GHANA-USA TRADITIONAL AND CULTURAL COUNCIL COMMENCE CONSTRUCTION OF SCHOOL BLOCK IN NYAMEBEKYERE

 Adesua Foundation Ghana led by Nana Frimpong Manso Adakabre and the Ghana -  USA  Traditional and Council  Diaspora led by Nana Amoako Yiadom Gyata Fihankrahene of Agogo Traditional area and his wife  Nana Abena Konadu Yiadom Gyata  has started the construction of a school in Nyamebekyere a suburb of Agogo Asante Akim North.  


The ceremony was attend by Nana Anim Marfo the Anantahene and other sub Chiefs in the area. 


There is no school in Nyamebekyere and students have to trek to the nearest town Brahabebome, a distance of about 10km before they could access basic education. 

The items includes heaps of sand, blocks and bags of cement.

The Nkoso)hemaa for the area,  Nana Abena Konadu Yiadom Gyata has promised to make Educational development her priority.

"Education in Nyamebekyere is dear to my heart " She stated. 

The new Dikro for the area Nana kakabe Amponsah used the occasion to thank these philanthropist and like Oliver Twist, asked for more support to help develop the area.

Nana Frimpong Manso Adakabre, the Adesuahene also urged the citizens to contribute their quota toward the completion of the project and promise them of educational materials like exercise books, pens , mathematical sets and other reading and learning materials, including  library.

“Our investment in the education of our children shall impact us for future generations and beyond”, he stated

OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU EXPRESS WORRY OVER POWER OUTAGES IN ASHANTI REGION

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is worried about the recent power outages in the Ashanti Region. Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the Minister of Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Asantehene said the intermittent power outages had destroyed his electrical appliances. “I have been experiencing power outages recently. Nana Akuoko Sarpong @ 83

 Nana Akuoko Sarpong is not King Solomon in the Bible. If he were to write the Book of Ecclesiastes, his conclusion would not be that life is meaningless. In the autumn of his life, he looks back on his life and declares that “I am fulfilled.” Sitting on his throne as Omanhene of Agogo, he is at pains to announce that “I am not in competition with anybody. As a lawyer, I scored some remarkable landmark cases. I entered politics but it is over. I’ve been in Parliament, I have been a Minister. In 46 years as chief, I have served my people well.” By 1972/1974, the trajectory of young Sarpong’s life projected nothing less than a roaring career at the Bar.
