AGOGO PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ORGANISE "SEND OFF" CEREMONY FOR THEIR FORMER PRINCIPAL

 Agogo Presbyterian women's college of education - APWCE, has organised a send off ceremony for its past Principal Rev. Dr. Mrs Esther Adgodeka. 


The ceremony was organised at the college Auditorium on Saturday and was attended by Prof. Kwasi Adarkwa, the council Chairman and former vice chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Mrs Caroline Aduamoah, a council member,  the current principal,  Rev Dr Mrs Grace Sintim Adasi, Mrs Rita Asanu, acting vice Principal,  a host of teaching and non teaching staffs and students.

Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong,  Omanhene of Agogo Traditional area was duly represented by Nana Frimpong Manso Adakabre,  Adesuahene of Agogo Traditional area. 


Rev Dr Mrs Agbodeka retired two years ago after serving five years as the 16th principal of APWCE. Her tenure witnessed many infrastructure projects. In her valedictory speech, which was read on her behalf by her husband,  Mr. Theophilus Agbodeka, she thanked the leadership of Presbyterian Church Ghana for giving her the opportunity to serve in the high office and grateful to the staff and her predecessors for their wise counsel and constructive criticisms.

"Those who showed me love and support, your love was like a light in darkness and drove away my fears " she lamented.

She also wished her successor well as she takes over the chain of leadership. 

Management and staff, including the old students presented her with citation and gifts for her selfless and dedicated service to the growth and development of the college 


Prof. Adarkwah used the occasion to call for the reintroduction of strict moral training in Presbyterian institutions  to address moral decadence in our country. 


Nana Kwame Akuoko Sarpong wished the past Principal well in her retirement days and admonished her to always bring her experience to bare in times of need.

AGOGO PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN'S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ORGANISE IT'S 13TH CONGRESSION CEREMONY

 Agogo Presbyterian women's college of education has organised its 13th congregation ceremony on Saturday 22nd May, 2021 at the college auditorium.  The ceremony saw the attendance of dignitaries including Prof. Adarkwa,  the Council chairman, Dr. Eric Nkansah, representative of the minister of education, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo ( Pro vice-chancellor, university of Ghana) who was the keynote speaker,  the college Principal Rev. Dr. Grace Sintim Adasi, the municipal director of education,  representative of Agogo Omanhene, Nana Frimpong Manso Adakabre who is the Adesuahene of the area and Nana Afrakomah Serwaa Kusi Obodum, Agogomanhemaa. The college presented 317 students for graduation with 16 students obtaining first class, 71 second class (upper division), 112 second class (lower division), 85 third class and 33 pass. Championing the growth of SMEs through Digitisation

The Omanhene of the Domeabra Traditional Area, Nana Baffour Owusu Bediako has asked government to work hard to improve Internet connectivity nationwide, especially in the rural areas in order to achieve it’s digitalization agenda. He described reliable internet connectivity as a critical development tool to aid in the quest for digitalization. “It is important for the people, especially those in the rural areas to access reliable internet and at affordable rates.” Nana Bediako who represented the President of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, said at the second Graphic Business/ Access Bank SME clinic held in Kumasi yesterday.
