Global Partnership for Education have received $4billion in pledges to support Global Education

 The 2021 Global Education Summit was co-hosted by the Prime minister of United Kingdom  Boris  Johnson and the  President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya on July 28 and 29 in London and Online.  The Summit underlined education key role in accelerating the fight against poverty, prevent climate change and improve health outcomes,  and highlighted the importance of putting education at the top of  international agenda as the world seeks to respond to and recover from the impacts of COVID-19 pandermic. Ministry of Communication Inaugurates an ICT Library

On Monday 27th June 2021,Hon Ursula Owusu in the company with her deputy Hon Ama Pomaa officially inaugurated Janet Brako Community Library & ICT Center in Akim-Bieni, Achiase District of the Eastern Region. Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is vital to keep everybody safely connected in today’s world. The Janet Brako Community library and ICT Centre is equipped with computers and internet service. Education Financing and Spending Efficiency.

Adesua Foundation donated laptop computer to Agogo state S.H.S..NSMQ team

 The Adesua foundation led by Nana Adakabre Frimpong Manso, Adesua hene of Agogo have today donated a laptop to the Agogo State College. The donation was made to the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz team who have qualified to compete in the next stage of the competition. The donation is in line with the foundation’s objectives towards improving education in the municipality and the country as a whole. The donation was made by the Adesua foundation through its overseas patrons Professor William Harrison and Dr Amanda Holmes who joined the team to visit the school and encourage the students to compete and win the NSMQ competition in order to bring pride to the school and also the  Presenting the item to the school in the presence of the headmistress, Mrs Selina Anane Afoakwa and some other leaders of the school, Professor Harrison echoed their commitment to supporting education and added this is just the first of many more of such donations. AGOGO TO GET AN ASTRO TURF

  Agogo is one of the communities which has brought out very good and talented footballers like Frank Osei and Evans Adomako of Kumasi Asante Kotoko fame.  On Sunday, Ghana Gas Company Limited in collaboration of Wembley Sports complex cut sod for the construction of an ultramodern Astro turf at APCE park ( Sakora Park).   In attendance of the program was Omanhene of Agogo traditional area, Nana Kwame Akuako Sarpong, Nana Serwaa Kusi Oboadum,  Agogo Hemaa, Ernest Owusu Bempah and Sarfo Gyamfi of Kotoko fame.   Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Robert Coleman of Wembley Sports complex said the project is expected to be complete within 6 months.   He said the turf will serve the needs of the entire Asante Akyem community and help to unearth a lot of talents to help in the development of football.  The turf, he noted would also be used to host national league games when completed.  The facility will have in place a spectator stands, floodl...
